Ed and I have done a few of these over the years. It’s one of my favorite holidays and one of my favorite events that the comic book industry does. So be sure and visit your local comic shops today and grab some FREE comics, along with the latest Hulk Grand Design and Red Room issues!

NEAL ADAMS
Comic book icon, Neal Adams, passed away on April 28, 2022. Adams was a giant in the American comic book industry. His influence as a comic book artist and a creator rights advocate changed comics forever. No one could draw like him, although countless artists have tried. He was very generous with his feedback and advice as many, many cartoonists have attested in their tributes and stories. He changed comics in more ways than I can list and he’s someone who genuinely made a difference — changing both the business and appearance of comics. It’s rare that someone is so great at their art and business, but in Neal Adams’ case, it is true. We offer our condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and fans.
Ed and I plan to celebrate Adams’ legendary career and art over the coming weeks and look at some of his comics in upcoming videos. Rob Liefeld joined us on Cartoonist Kayfabe to discuss Neal Adams as we look at Superman vs Muhammad Ali:
